¡Hola a tod@s! Esta vez os traigo un post un poco distinto... Os voy a enseñar un poquito como fue mi escapada a Oporto en esta semana santa. Al final del post os dejaré un vídeo recopilatorio que creo que es un bonito recuerdo de los que no se olvidan.
Hello everyone! This time I bring a slightly different post ... I'll teach you a little as was my trip to Porto on this Easter. At the end of the post I leave a compilation video that I think is a nice memory of those who are not forgotten.
Días antes de salir hacia Oporto estuve viendo lugares especiales de la ciudad, uno que me llamó muchísimo la atención era este, los jardines del palacio de cristal, tenía claro que iba a ser el primer lugar al que iríamos. Nada más llegar al hotel, dejamos las maletas y salimos hacia los jardines. No nos costó mucho encontrarlos, está muy bien señalizado. En cuanto al aparcamiento, los jardines disponen de parking y zona azul.
Days before leaving for Porto was watching special places of the city, one caught my attention was this much, the palace of glass, it was clear it would be the first place we'd go. Upon arrival at the hotel, we left our bags and headed out to the gardens. We not hard to find, is well signposted. As for parking, gardens and blue have parking area.
Si hay algo que especialmente me ha gustado del palacio de cristal son los pavos reales. Entre los jardines tan cuidados, la cúpula enorme y con los pavos pululando por ahí, el sitio adquiría un toque especial... En fin, que adoro a esos animales.
If anything especially liked the glass palace are the peacocks. Among the gardens as care, the huge dome and turkeys floating around, the site took on a special touch... Anyway, I love those animals.
Por cierto, los jardines tenían unas vistas impresionantes al río Duero

Una vez vistos los jardines nos dirigimos hacia el siguiente destino, el famoso Puente Don Luis I. Nos perdimos un poco para llegar, pero finalmente conseguimos aparcar en una zona no muy lejana. Era una de las zonas con más vida de Oporto, muchísima gente se apelotonaba para hacerse un "selfie" con el puente.
After seeing the gardens we headed to the next destination, the famous bridge Don Luis I. We missed a bit to get, but eventually managed to park in an area not far. It was one of the liveliest areas of Oporto, many people would cuddle to become a "selfie" with the bridge.
Decidimos cruzar el puente al día siguiente, así que tomamos algo en uno de los bares antes de retirarnos al hotel.
We decided to cross the bridge the next day, so we took something in one of the bars before retiring to the hotel.
Buscando un local para cenar nos pasamos por el centro comercial Norteshopping, que presume de ser el mejor centro comercial de Oporto. Todos los comercios cierran a las 12 y pudimos hacer un poco de "shopping" antes de retirarnos a la cama. No tuvimos que conducir mucho, quedaba a 10 minutos de nuestro hotel.
Looking for a place for dinner we went through the Norteshopping mall, which claims to be the best shopping center in Oporto. All shops close at 12 and we could do some shopping before retiring to bed. Did not have to drive far, it was 10 minutes from our hotel.

¡Aquí empieza nuestro segundo día! Seguro que a muchos de vosotros os han llamado la atención los "American Donuts", se habían retirado de varios mercados en el mundo, ¡pero en Portugal todavía siguen estando! ¡Como los echaba de menos! Os aseguro que aunque se hayan retirado, muchos consumimos cosas mucho más dañinas que los "American Donuts", pero por otra parte sigue siendo una bomba de calorías, así que hay que procurar no pasarse! Volviendo al tema... en este día teníamos muchísimas cosas que ver, pero decidimos que lo más bonito era dar un paseo mañanero al otro lado del río.
Here begins our second day! Sure many of you have drawn attention to the "American Donuts", had withdrawn from several markets in the world, but in Portugal are still being! As missed them! I assure you that even if they are retired, many consume much more harmful than the "American Donuts" things, but on the other hand is still a calorie bomb, so care must be taken not be! Back ... on this day we had many things to do, but decided that the nicest thing was to give a morning walk across the river.
Los teleféricos dan un toque genial al paisaje, íbamos un poco justos, así que decidimos no montarnos e ir hacia la catedral de Oporto. La catedral es un sitio bastante bonito y con unas vistas geniales. Muy cerca había una cabina roja de teléfonos que seguro que no deja indiferente a nadie.
Cable cars get a great touch to the landscape, we were a fair bit, so we decided not montarnos and go to the Cathedral of Oporto. The cathedral is a pretty nice place with great views. Nearby there was a safe that red phone booth that leaves no one indifferent.
Por fin, llegamos al centro de Oporto. Una plaza increíble con uno de los Mcdonalds más originales del mundo, aunque no os gusten las hamburguesas de esta franquicia sigue siendo visita obligada.
Finally, we reached the center of Porto. An amazing place with one of the most original in the world Mcdonalds, if you don't like burgers of this franchise, you must also see.
Ya en el centro decidimos ir a visitar la librería Lello e Irmao, se comenta que en ella se ha inspirado la autora de Harry Potter. Dejando de lado rumores, es una librería pequeña pero increíblemente bella, un lugar absolutamente imprescindible. Una vez llegamos había una cola bastante grande, a nuestra derecha se situaban unas taquillas para comprar la entrada, costaba 3€, pero si adquirías un libro se te descontaban estos 3€.
And in the center we decided to visit the bookstore Lello & Irmao, commented that it was inspired by the author of Harry Potter. Leaving aside rumors, is a small but incredibly beautiful library, an absolutely essential place. Once we had a pretty big tail, to our right they stood a box office to buy tickets, cost 3 €, but if you buy a book you deducted these 3 €.
Llevabamos todo el día caminando y ya estabamos bastante cansados, pero todavía nos faltaba ver una cosa más, la "Torre de los Clérigos". Cerca de allí estaba la calle de las tiendas y la famosa "Capela das almas", así que decidimos visitar esos lugares. De camino también entramos el "Mercado do Bolhao", un lugar con bastante encanto.
We've been walking all day and we're pretty tired, but there was still one more thing we see, the "Tower of Clerics". Nearby was the shopping street and the famous "Capela das Almas", so decided to visit those places. On the way we also enter the "Mercado do Bolhao" a place with quite charming.
Y como bonus para acabar nuestro día, no sé si fue casualidad o suerte, de camino al coche encontramos la estación de metro de Sao Bento, después cruzamos el puente Don Luis I por la zona de arriba y fuimos al hotel para terminar nuestro día.
And as a bonus to end our day, I do not know if it was coincidence or luck, on the way to the car we found the station Sao Bento metro, then cross the Don Luis I bridge the upstairs area and went to the hotel to finish our day.

Era nuestro último día antes de irnos y estábamos bastante cansados del día anterior, así que hoy sería un día tranquilo, de sentarte y disfrutar del paisaje. Se nos ocurrió visitar la playa de Matosinhos, si os soy sincero no me esperaba mucho, no me preguntéis el porqué. Al no esperarme mucho de esa playa, todavía me impresionó más el verla. Una playa enorme, un paseo increíble, el mar lleno de surfistas y unas vistas a mar abierto y a la fortaleza de Foz. Insuperable.
It was our last day before we left and were pretty tired yesterday, so today would be a quiet day, sit back and enjoy the scenery. We came to visit the beach of Matosinhos, if I'm honest I was not expecting much, do not ask me why. By not wait much of that beach, it still impressed me see her. A huge beach, an amazing ride, full of surfers and sea views out to sea and to the strength of Foz. Unbeatable.
